Ces vivariums constituent des tableaux animés qui sont autant de prolongement du film principal de l’exposition, «Aalterate». Des formes semblent avoir été capturées dans des vivariums. Elles se meuvent pour donner au spectateur une impression de flottement propice à l’introspection. Ces créatures sont comme la matérialisation d’états émotionnels variés. Elles sont comme les vestiges rapportés par un explorateur, archéologue du souvenir revenu des abysses que décrit le film.

Les formes sont  encloses dans des boîtes qui rappellent le cube où le spectateur pénètre pour voir le film «Aalterate». Ces créatures à la présence peu rassurante donnent pourtant à voir des convulsions fascinantes dans un foisonnement de détails.

Des sonorités tantôt harmonieuses tantôt discordantes viennent amplifier l’aura de mystère et d’angoisse que les images diffusent.

Sculpture et vidéo se rencontrent en un seul objet. La forme des modules vidéos est stricte. Elle participe du registre employé dans toute l’exposition : on y trouve en effet des structures simples, toutes en angle droits, monolithiques  très localement altérées par le chaos organique.



Dans les vidéos, des objets 3D sont animées selon une technique particulière développée durant la production du film «Aalterate». La majorité des créatures sont traitées dans un rendu hyper réaliste qui rend saisissant de complexité et de véracité les mouvements des créatures. Un autre ensemble est lui traité dans un style graphique qui traduit en 3D la technique du dessin à main levée.



These vivariums are animated pictures that are all an extension of the film's main exhibition, "Aalterate." Forms seem to have been caught in vivariums. They move to give the viewer an impression of floatation conducive to introspection. These creatures are the materialization of various emotional states. They are like the vestiges reported by an explorer and archaeological relics returned from the abyss that describe the film.

Forms are enclosed in boxes reminiscent of the cube where the viewer sees the movie "Aalterate." The presence of these creatures are sobering yet it is fascinating to see their convulsions in a profusion of  intricate details.
Sometimes harmonious and sometimes discordant sounds amplify the aura of mystery and anxiety emitted by the images.

Sculpture and video come together in a single object. The shape of the video modules is precise. They contribute to the language used throughout the exhibition: here we find in effect simple structures, all in right angles, very monolithic but locally altered by organic chaos.

In the videos, 3D objects are animated by a special technique developed during the production of the film "Aalterate." Most creatures are treated in a hyper realistic rendering making their movements startlingly complex and accurate. Another set is designed in a graphic style that translates the sensitivity of freehand drawing into CGI.
